Cowgirl Yoga/Dirt Contest Winner

We have a winner for our Cowgirl Yoga selfie contest with Cowgirl Dirt! The assignment was to capture our motto “Add a little Yeehaw to your Namaste” through a yoga selfie. Kim from Oregon proves that a fancy yoga asana is not necessarily better. Her pose: good old Tadasana, Mountain Pose.

She said: I am new to Yoga and one of the most valuable gifts I have received is learning to GROUND! I find that if I just take off my boots and touch my naked feet to the cool clover where my horses roam and nibble, I find things blossoming all around me. Oh yes…and at almost 50, I am learning to breathe. The day I took this picture, I was working on my root chakra, and well, there is lots to share about just touching the ground!

I think this picture is a great way to kick off the summer season. Practice Tadasana in the grass and ground your feet to the earth. Lovely.

Namaste Kim. And nice boots!
