Explore the Open Range of Creativity

Yoginis and riders of all experience levels are welcome to experience “laid-back luxury” at its finest. LUXE Cowgirl Yoga™ & Creativity is a 4-day, 3-night women’s retreat in the heart of Southwest Montana.

Enjoy full-run of the 5,200-acre Grey Cliffs Ranch, nestled at 4,500 feet in elevation in a spectacular landscape of grasslands and high mountain peaks. Spend your days practicing yoga, engaging in good ‘ole fashioned cowgirl camaraderie with our equine partners, and exploring how yoga, riding, and art can spark your creativity.

After three square meals of gourmet delights, and all the down dogs and horse nuzzles you can handle, settle in for the evening with a dip in the hot tub, a glass of wine, great conversation, and a breathtaking canopy of stars overhead.

On this retreat, you'll enjoy:

  • Every part of this retreat fed my soul -- the serene setting, the luxurious lodge, art classes with clay and natural materials, and morning rides through the hills spotting elk. City life felt far away when walking down ranch paths or doing yoga on the patio, listening to the birds and the quiet. ‎Margaret's facilitation, the small group size, and the thoughtful ranch staff supported a nice balance of socializing and reflective time. We laughed and shared stories over delicious, healthy meals created by our private chef. I smile and remember this peaceful place when I see the artistic creations from the retreat in my home and office.

  • In Montana, I learned what "wide" means. The sky, what big blue sky! The way it was when the way was West. Life is simply more peaceful. I recall no worries of the world outside even though I was always outside. Thank you to Big Sky Yoga Retreats for a dream retreat in a luxurious ranch home. You let me get gussied up as a cowgirl! And I learned what I always knew to be true, which is that my love for horses is very much real. I'm now officially hooked. Let's just say, if it were socially acceptable to marry a state, I would do so.

  • Human beings have been making recognizable art for 30,000 years, and we've been making agriculture for 10,000. Somehow it was more important to the human evolutionary spirit to make superfluous pretty things than it was to figure out how to regularly feed ourselves. It's in us.
