Henry, his wife Molly, and their big-hearted herd joined the Cowgirl Yoga team in 2015. From the moment you meet him, Henry’s gentle spirit, soft-spoken wisdom, and boundless patience wins you over. Ask him about Lewis and Clark for a history lesson.

He’s been around horses his entire life – and doesn’t plan on quitting anytime soon. His earliest childhood memories are of working alongside and riding his family’s horses on their farm in North Carolina. His father preferred literal horse power in the field over tractors, and he passed along his deep respect for horses to Henry.

“I’ve spent most of my life on horseback,” he says. (Oh, should we all be so lucky!)

He moved to Montana more than a decade ago and is here to stay. He and Molly own a small ranch in the Shields Valley and ride every chance they get. Whether they’re helping round up cattle for the neighbors or volunteering to lead back country pack trips for the Forest Service, their lives revolve around their horses.

Henry is an encouraging and patient teacher and loves to share his knowledge and passion for horses. “A horse will do about anything,” he says. “You just have to learn how to ask.”
