On Mother’s Day USA (UK Mother’s Day was in April, so I am getting to celebrate twice), a reminder from my daughter to stop and smell the roses. I was enchanted by the names of the different roses at the Queen Mary’s Gardens in Regent’s Park: lovely lady – pink, of course, chianti for some deep red ones, golden wedding for rich yellow roses. With our London days being numbered, I’m using this reminder to stop and enjoy each day here, instead of leaping ahead in my mind to our big shift back home in a few weeks. This weekend’s relaxing pace has been the result of practicing living in the moment, something adults often forget, and are often taught by their children. And yoga. Roses and yoga, a great Mother’s Day combo! Lucky me, I got both.
Happy Mother’s Day. Be sure to stop and smell the roses on your way to yoga.
