France at its Finest

If you’ve been looking for a once-in-a-lifetime trip (that you’ll want to repeat), consider our 7-night yoga hiking, and spa retreat in the heart of  the French Alps.

Say au revoir to public transportation, stuffy hotels, and stressful schedules—and say bonjour to private transportation, luxurious lodgings, and just the right mix of relaxation and rejuvenation.

Our private chalet is located just outside of Chamonix, a popular (for good reason) destination at the base of Mont Blanc, the highest summit in the Alps. With a picture-perfect downtown, quaint shops and restaurants, and some of the world’s best hiking mere steps away, you’ll wonder why you ever vacationed anywhere else!

Spend your days surrounded by a small-yet-mighty group of inspiring women, flowing through asanas on our sun-kissed deck overlooking the mountains, shifting your perspective on guided hikes, and returning home to French wines, gourmet meals, and magical massages. Oui oui!

On this retreat, you'll enjoy:

LUXE Chalet Lodging

Spend seven nights in lavish quarters at our private chalet located in Chamonix, France. Make time to enjoy the onsite sauna and hot tub!

Daily Yoga Classes

Build body and mind self-awareness and openness through daily vinyasa on our private deck (weather permitting). Yoga overlooking the French Alps? Incroyable!

Daily Gourmet Dining

Our private chef will treat your tummy to healthy and delicious French meals, snacks, and smoothies. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Wine Tasting

Enjoy a wine tasting evening at the chalet with a beautiful selection of local and European wines, as well as the opportunity to sample various wines during each dinner.

Spa Treatments

Enjoy a full day out at a beautiful spa just over the border in Italy (check another country off your wish list!). Here, you'll enjoy a variety of spa treatments that take pampering to a new level.

Plus, you'll receive an onsite full-body massage as a welcome to the chalet on your first or second day!

Guided Hikes

What would a French Alps vacation be without hiking?! We'll take you on two guided half-day hikes and a full-day hike (with a gourmet mountainside picnic lunch). At least one of our hikes will be at high altitude, so we recommend working on your fitness prior to vacation!

Mer de Glace Train Ride

We'll take a train to the foot of the Mer de Glace, the largest glacier in France. There, we'll visit a glacier cave with ice sculptures and a crystal gallery displaying some of the stunning crystals found in the Mont Blanc Massif.

Mindfulness Exercises

Learn how to be more mindful and appreciative through meditation, intention-setting & journaling.

Night Out in Chamonix

Join us for an evening out on the town for dinner at a wonderful family-owned gastronomic restaurant featuring organic, local produce and numerous vegetarian options. Then, enjoy a stroll around town to soak up the atmosphere and grab a delicious dessert!

Cable Car Excursion

For those so inclined (pun intended), enjoy a trip on the 'Aiguille du Midi' cable car, the highest cable car in Europe (3842m). This world-renowned activity is known for its stunning views of Mont Blanc and will leave an impression you won't soon forget.

Private Transportation

Travel in style with our private airport transfer (included). No waiting around, no wondering where to go, and no wishing you had avoided the bus!

We'll also have a driver on call during the retreat if you'd like to make any unplanned excursions into town.

(Optional) Helicopter Ride

Enjoy an optional 20-minute helicopter ride for panoramic views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountain range. Bring your camera!

  • We have an expression in our family, when something is just so overwhelming, amazing or beyond any of our wildest expectations. When we can’t describe something, we just say, “Words Fail Me!” After this retreat, like nothing I have ever experienced in my entire life, all I came up with was “Words Fail Me!”

Our amazing French Chalet overlooking the gorgeous alps and Mont Blanc - breathtaking. The morning and afternoon yoga sessions, always followed by home cooked meals from our own personal chef. The daily hikes that were the most challenging yet rewarding physical activities I had ever been a part of. The scenery that just did not seem real. Did I mention spa treatments??? And just when you thought it could not get any better, any more exciting, any more surprising...there was the helicopter ride around Mont Blanc, the stroll inside of a glacier...and finally, the women. Friendships are created wherever Big Sky Yoga Retreats goes. The bond you form with your fellow retreaters will last a lifetime! I could go on and, I guess words have not failed me!

  • This trip is the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation. Start the day with yoga in a cozy studio just behind the chalet, followed by a challenging hike. The backdrop for all is simply breathtaking. There isn’t a moment where you won’t be in awe of nature and its surroundings. In addition, we enjoyed some fantastic adventures: wine tasting in Chamonix, a ride up to Mont Blanc, across the border to an Italian day spa and a helicopter ride over the Alps. It sounds like a lot, but it perfectly balanced out a week of exercise and relaxation.

Wait, did I mention the wine? And the food? Each was a gastronomical event. From breakfast to gourmet packed lunches to 3-4 course dinners paired with lovely french wine. We applauded almost every night when dinner was brought to the table.

Oh, and there’s a mini spa in the house too. Downstairs there’s a massage room, steam room, sauna, showers, and wine cellar. Simply sitting in the hot tub on the deck, staring out at those majestic mountains made me so thankful and gracious for everything and everyone in my life. I’ll never forget that feeling. It’s the kind of trip that makes you shake your head and wonder if you are really there. Don’t miss it. C’est Magnifique!

Chaminox, France

Chamonix is one of the oldest and most famous ski resorts in France. The north side of Mont Blanc’s summit is actually part of of the village, and (fun fact) the town hosted the first winter Olympics in 1924.
