Restore & Reboot Yoga Portugal

Quinta Camarena, Portugal

Restore Your Body & Spirit

With the stresses of our daily lives, it's easy to forget how your soul feels when it's lighter, happier, and authentically supported. This retreat helps you reclaim the best version of yourself—and experience a lasting heart, body, and mind "reboot."

True peace comes from within, so that's where we focus this week of relaxation, restoration, and self-care. Our Portuguese partners call it the "Not-So-Serious" yoga retreat - and we're going with that. From daily restorative, yin and slow flow yoga (no power practices allowed!) to daily experiences of Portuguese culture, wonderful walks, sauna sessions, a day at the beach, breath work and mindfulness - plus a splash of Cowgirl Yoga with a relaxed horseback ride -  you'll recalibrate the tools needed to walk through life calmly and with purpose. Return home having deepened your yoga practice, realigned your body, steadied your mind, and experienced the quiet, healing power of the Portuguese countryside. We're thrilled to partner with Quinta Camarena for our Restore & Reboot location.

Space to breathe, space to be

Environment has a profound impact on how you feel, which is why this women’s retreat is nestled in Alentejo, Portugal, a region known for its slower rhythm. Finding yourself again starts with allowing yourself to slow down and soak up your surroundings.

You’ll enjoy full-run of Quinta Camarena, located in the protected area of Costa Vicentina in Southwest Portugal. We’ll be surrounded by nature – rolling pastoral hills with stretches of citrus, cork oak, and pine trees. It’s a short 15 minute commute to the beach. Spend your days practicing restful yoga, soaking up the chill Portuguese vibe, engaging in yogini camaraderie, and exploring how gentle movement, mindfulness, and a choice to move at a slower pace can reboot body and mind.

Cuddle up in cozy Portuguese linens, clean up with local artisanal soaps (and buy some to take home, too) and chill in your patio’s hammock. Head to the pool with a book. We’ll meet for meals in the Camtina, and will be sure to let you know what time happy hour is.

After savoring fresh, local fare and all the Child’s Poses you’ve been craving, settle in for the evening with a sauna session, a glass of vinho, great conversation, and a breathtaking canopy of stars overhead. Rinse and repeat, restore and reboot.

On this retreat, you'll enjoy:

Sustainable Boutique Lodging

Spend seven nights at the Quinta Camarena, a unique property with a focus on environmental sustainability in the Alentejo countryside of Portugal. The Alentejo region is known for its stunning landscapes and slower pace. That's why we're here.

Daily Yoga Classes

This retreat will have a special focus on restorative and yin yoga, with the occasional slow flow. Give yourself permission to let go of power yoga, and reap the benefits of a more gentle practice. Our yoga studio is surrounded by the forest.

Hiking Lite

We'll explore the countryside on foot, at a leisurely pace. No counting steps here. Walking is one of the best ways to engage in moving meditation. Solid shoes, but no intense hiking gear required. And the charming town of Cercal is an easy walk from the Quinta.

Meditation & Journaling

Clarify and set intentions through a series of daily meditation and journaling exercises. Rediscover yourself by turning inwards and indulging in quiet time.

Portuguese Cuisine & Vinho

The restore + reboot theme applies to meals as well. We will take the time to savor healthy, organic, locally sourced food and wine, along with our meal time conversations (vs. checking phones). There will be a winery tour, along with a wine + tapas tasting.

A Splash of Cowgirl Yoga

You know we can't go anywhere there are horses and not arrange to ride. There will be a relaxed, short ride one day, to take in the Portuguese countryside on 4 feet instead of 2. Optional, claro.

Free to Be Me Time

We won't schedule every moment of your day. Rather, we build in plenty of free time for you to truly kick back and relax—however you prefer. This is what our Portuguese hosts call the "Not-So-Serious" yoga retreat. So don't plan to take it too seriously.

More

A one hour massage, mala making with Caitlin, a day at the beach. Lots of relaxing extras will be worked into your week, without the busy-ness.

  • I enjoyed a most wonderful time at Restore Reboot Portugal. The setting was pristine, my room was gorgeous, (complete with a hammock on the terrace where I ended each evening before bed) and the meals were delicious and healthy. My favorite part was - and there were so many - walking down the rose lined path for morning coffee before yoga. I felt not a care in the world. The yoga was perfect and peaceful in the floor to ceiling windowed structure in the forest. Margaret and Caitlin seemed to know just what we needed from their classes. The sauna was perfectly hot, and the massage was so heavenly, I booked a second one. The outings were fun and well planned, but there was no pressure to participate, which was nice. The women in the group were welcoming, and I miss them already! It was just what I needed and I’m so happy with myself for having done it. I highly recommend you book a spot asap. Obrigada!

  • The Restore and Reboot Retreat in Portugal was amazing. Quinta Camarena is perfect for this type of retreat. The food, accommodations and activities were the perfect mixture of engaging and relaxing. Although I’m an occasional yoga person, I found the yoga to be nice with lots of stretching and relaxing poses. The two hikes were with a guide who was very knowledgeable about the area. It was obvious that a lot of thought and prep had been put into arranging a perfect week in a perfect place. A great balance of activities and down time. I highly recommend it!

  • It was awesome! The teachers/leaders were well organized, skilled and compassionate. There was a lovely balance between yoga sessions, an activity each day (coastal hike, horseback riding, inland hike with naturalist, trip to a vineyard, etc.) and time to be chill and relax and/or contemplative. The food was made by our in-house chef, and he used ingredients grown on the Quinta's grounds that were fresh and flavorful. The meals were the best I ever had, each day creative and delicious! I really enjoyed meeting the other retreat participants who were a pleasure to get to know. All in all, it was a magical week! Thank you Margaret and Caitlin!

  • Big Sky Yoga Retreats are the best! Every moment of the trip was a delight. We did wonderful yoga in a serene wooded setting…ate fantastic food prepared by a talented chef…enjoyed lovely accommodations in the countryside of Portugal and also filled the days with hiking, horseback riding, and a winery visit. I can’t speak highly enough about the lovely women we met on this trip and the care and consideration that was taken in planning it.

  • Everything about this retreat was wonderful - the food, the people, the hiking, but most of all, the yoga. Thank you Margaret and Caitlin. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I was enveloped in a big hug. Quinta Camerena is such a special place. It was exactly what I needed.

  • Portugal has a peaceful feel about it. I sit on the terrace overlooking the vineyard there and I feel cut off from the world. You need that sort of thing.
