Ooooh. Aaaahhh. Our last Cowgirl Yoga of the season, the LUXE version, is this weekend. And I confess that it might be my fave retreat (although it’s certainly a tough choice), especially because the Double T River Ranch is, well, so very luxe. We’ll get to celebrate with another cancer kickin’ cowgirl, our 4th Cowgirls vs. Cancer scholarship recipient this year, we’ll get our yoga on in the restored barn, there’s a crispness in the air that calls for some complex red wine, Chef Kate is planning her usual off-the-charts menus, Kris from Hill Botanical is joining us with her healthy herbs and tea blends (she’s working on a custom Big Sky Yoga Retreats blend for 2012!), and we’ve got some very interesting things going on behind the scenes…can’t disclose now, but one of the items on my to-do list today was to pick up 15 sets of false eyelashes. You know if there are going to be false eyelashes involved, it’s going to be fun with a capital F. (No, we won’t be putting them on the horses…although come to think of it, that would be Fun!!)
We’ve also just recently added a new winter retreat in January 2012 at the Double T River Ranch: a Winter Wonderland & Wellness weekend. Because winter is not for hibernating – it’s a wonderful time to focus on your well-being. We’ll be doing some amazing workouts in Montana’s winter wonderland: Nordic (cross-country) skiing is a cardio kick-in-the-pants, as is snowshoeing. We’ll be warming up our muscles with yoga, of course. There’s a cooking lesson emphasizing healthy eating ideas for when it’s cold outside, and we’ll learn how to make a warming winter tea brew. And did I mention massage…? So come play in the snow with us, and afterwards get warm and cozy inside, healthy-style! Say you saw it on the Cowgirl Yoga blog and you’ll get 10% off if you book before October 31.
