Equal parts activity and rejuvenation, our days will focus on deepening your yoga practice, replenishing your mind and spirit, and nourishing your body with gourmet local fare. And you’ll need the nourishment because we’ll be exploring the best peaks Patagonia has to offer by foot and hoof. Our horses are Criollos (“Mestizos”), a sturdy native breed that combines Friesians, Quarter Horses, Percherons, and Appaloosa and are perfectly suited to the rough mountain countryside…and snuggles.
But, don’t worry. There’s plenty of “down time” to recharge, journal, and enjoy our stunning surroundings.
NOTE: This retreat is not for total beginner riders; we recommend some riding experience and/or riding lessons to prepare. If you have been with us on Cowgirl Yoga before, you are qualified! Riders should be comfortable in the saddle (at all gaits) for 3-4 hours at a time, and riding through semi-steep terrain. You will be amazed at how much your seat improves after a week of riding like a gaucho!
You should also be fit enough to hike 3-4 hours at a time through varied terrain. Our longest hike will be a full day, with plenty of rest stops and a lunch break.
