La Vita è Bella

Welcome to Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, where you'll enjoy this 6-night yoga, wine tasting, and archeology retreat. This popular destination rests at the tip of Italy's "boot" and boasts Doric-style Greek temples, the Valley of the Temples, and Mt. Etna, one of Europe's highest active volcanos.

Our days include perfectly paired activity and rejuvenation as we focus on deepening your yoga practice, replenishing your mind and spirit, connecting with history, and nourishing your body with gourmet Sicilian fare.

PLUS, we send registrants a JADE Yoga travel mat, a copy of Sicilian Splendors, and a few other Italian treats!

Vineyard Yogini Meets Indiana Jones

If you love settling into virasana as much as you enjoy awakening your senses with glass of vino, you’ll be in heaven during this 6-night retreat filled with equal parts sipping, stretching, and exploring archeological wonders on the isle of Sicily.

Experience Italy the way it was meant to be enjoyed — slowly, intentionally, and with friends, old and new. We’ll focus on Agriturismo on Sicily’s west coast and enjoy ultra-luxe accommodations.

Not only will you partake of Sicily’s finest wines, you’ll learn about its rich history and ride horses through ancient ruins, among other activities. Oh, and did we mention the private onsite sauna, hot tub, and infinity pool? Perfetto!

On this retreat, you'll enjoy:

Luxury Lodging

Spend six nights our private retreat oasis, Baglio Caruana Cantina & Relais, in beautiful Montallegro, Sicily. Dip in the infinity pool, relax in hot tub and sauna, meander through the gardens and vineyards, or enjoy a glass of vino on the terrace.

Daily Yoga Classes

Build body and mind self-awareness and openness through daily terrace vinyasa overlooking the vineyards (weather permitting). Our indoor "studio" will provide the unique experience of practicing in a place infused with relaxing energy. Yoga in an Italian villa? Si, per favore.

Authentic Agriturismo

Agriturismo, a combination of the Italian words for "agriculture" and "tourism," is a style of vacationing in scenic rural farm areas. Italians are particularly proud of their agricultural traditions, especially cheese, wine and olive making, and we'll teach you about the history and production of these delights, while tasting everything local, organic and purely Italian. One evening we'll have a cooking lesson. It's a foodie and nature lover's heaven!

Vineyard Tour & Tastings

Tour Sicily's finest winemaking facilities and vineyards and learn about the process firsthand from the winemakers. We'll also enjoy several tastings and pairing experiences as you sip and savor toward your sommelier dreams. (Bonus: Our villa makes their own organic wine!)

Mindfulness Exercises

Learn how to be more mindful and appreciative through meditation, intention-setting & journaling. We'll kick off our week with a led discussion on eating and drinking mindfully--the perfect way to connect our yoga practice to Italian agriturismo.

Archeology by Horseback

Travel back in time as we tour archeological wonders throughout the Valle dei Templi in true Cowgirl Yogini style -- on horseback! We will also have a guided tour of Selinunte on foot.

Sicily Sightseeing

A visit to the salt fields of Trapani, time to explore the seaside towns of Sciacca and Marsala, and down time to soak up this weeklong feast for the senses.

  • To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is not to have seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the clue to everything.

  • This is the homeland of the Gods of Greek mythology ... In the distance you can see the lake of Hercules and the rocks of the Cyclops. Land of gods and heroes!

  • What was my favorite part of the Yoga and Vineyard retreat? All of the sights, smells, tastes, experiences, and people were so lovely, it’s practically impossible to choose! I truly felt a world away from the stresses of every day life. The yoga practice, horseback riding, cooking and tasting experiences were just what I needed to relax and reenergize. If you are at all considering this trip, I say, ‘Andiamo!’

  • Amidst the olive oil slurping, pasta making, horseback riding, villa living, gelato licking, castle touring, downward dogging, you will also encounter some fabulously interesting women. Whether traveling with a friend or flying solo – all are immediately made to feel welcome.
