Vineyard Yogini Meets Indiana Jones

If you love vinyasa as much as you enjoy awakening your senses with glass of vino, you’ll be in heaven during this 6-night retreat filled with equal parts sipping, stretching, and exploring archeological wonders on the isle of Sicily.

Experience Italy the way it was meant to be enjoyed — slowly, intentionally, and with friends, old and new. We’ll focus on Agriturismo on Sicily’s west coast and enjoy unique, historical accommodations.

Not only will you partake of Sicily’s finest food and wines, you’ll learn about its rich history and explore ancient ruins, among other activities.

On this retreat, you'll enjoy:

Historic Lodging

Spend 2 nights at Hotel Carmine, an historical monastery in Marsala, and 4 nights at the Agriturismo olive farm Case di Latomie in Castelvetrano. Get an olive oil massage at the onsite spa (at additional cost), meander through the gardens and olive groves, or sip a glass of vino as you soak up the Sicilian vibe.

Daily Yoga, Meditation & Mindfulness

Build body and mind self-awareness and openness through daily vinyasa and restorative or yin yoga (outdoors when weather permits). Learn how to be more mindful through meditation, intention-setting & journaling. We'll kick off our retreat with a led discussion on eating and drinking mindfully - the perfect way to connect our yoga practice to Italian agriturismo.

Sicily Sightseeing

A visit to the salt fields of Trapani, time to explore the seaside towns of Marsala, Erice, and Castellammare, and down time to soak up this weeklong feast for the senses.

Authentic Agriturismo

Agriturismo, a combination of the Italian words for "agriculture" and "tourism," is a style of vacationing in scenic rural farm areas. Italians are particularly proud of their agricultural traditions, especially cheese, wine and olive making, and we'll teach you about the history and production of these delights, while tasting everything local, often organic and purely Sicilian.

Vineyard Tour & Tastings

Tour western Sicily's finest winemaking facilities and vineyards and learn about the process firsthand from the winemakers. We'll also enjoy several tastings and pairing experiences as you sip and savor toward your sommelier dreams.

Archeology

Travel back in time as we tour the Western Sicilian archeological wonders of Selinunte and Segesta with private, guided tours.

  • To have seen Italy without having seen Sicily is not to have seen Italy at all, for Sicily is the clue to everything.

    Goethe, 18th Century Author

  • Yoga & Vineyard Sicily was everything that I hoped it would be, and more. I was immersed in my senses throughout the trip. The food, the wine, the scenery, the people, the history, the culture, the yoga (obviously) all made it a wonderful experience to remember. The best word to describe the retreat is authentic, which meant the world to me. The entire trip was a treat for my body and soul.

    Susan , Georgia

  • What was my favorite part of the Yoga and Vineyard retreat? All of the sights, smells, tastes, experiences, and people were so lovely, it’s practically impossible to choose! I truly felt a world away from the stresses of every day life. The yoga practice, cooking and tasting experiences were just what I needed to relax and reenergize. If you are at all considering this trip, I say, ‘Andiamo!’

    Jeanette, St. Louis

  • Amidst the olive oil slurping, pasta making, villa living, gelato licking, vineyard visiting, downward dogging, you will also encounter some fabulously interesting women. Whether traveling with a friend or flying solo – all are immediately made to feel welcome.

    Maria , New York

  • This is the homeland of the Gods of Greek mythology ... In the distance you can see the lake of Hercules and the rocks of the Cyclops. Land of gods and heroes!
